Sharon Kozuch, M.Ed., LPC, LMHC, Wellcoaches® Certified Health & Wellness Coach
I am passionate and devoted to helping adults feel relief and experiencing life the way they desire. I have devoted my life to helping people discover their resiliency, find relief, and live their life with joy on purpose. Over the past 20+ years I have studied and treated clients about the incredible strength our thought process has and how it affects our daily lives, the physiological stress response our body experiences, how brain chemistry affects us and so much more. Over the past 25 years I have developed and facilitated trainings & workshops in a variety of media and classroom based settings around Professional & Personal Development; including but not limited to Stress & Resiliency, Mindfulness, Effective Communication, Compassion Fatigue, Motivational Team Building, Trauma & Recovery, & Conflict Resolution.
I graduated with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Cambridge College, MA in 2006. My clinical work as a Crisis Team Supervisor for Emergency Services and at a Boston-based community health center as a supervisor & senior clinician in a Detox Program and Intensive Outpatient Program provided me with an immense amount of knowledge, empathy, and experience. As I continued to grow my private practice in Boston, MA, I branched out and worked for an Employee Assistance Program providing: account management, training development & facilitation, telephonic counseling, on-site crisis debriefings, management consultations, and team building. Later, I took on the Smoking Cessation Program and provided Wellness Coaching, where I continued to expand my knowledge as a Wellcoaches® Certified Health & Wellness Coach.
The process leading to my master's degree happened organically after working in higher education administration and launching two state-wide crisis intervention programs: Named the Governor's Initiative, Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault AmeriCorps Program and the MASS Counseling Network, FEMA Funded, 9/11 Program. This is where I began my journey to help in the healing process and support those effected by trauma. I became certified in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), Honor's Program, University of Maryland.
My earlier years in the healthcare field lead me to a sales position with my territory spanning from Philadelphia & suburbs and expanding into NJ & DE with my corporate office located in Scranton, PA. Later, a recruiting firm sought me out, and I began working for a staffing company managing two branches in Philadelphia, PA & Washington, D.C. Understanding & fulfilling the needs of the corporations & non-profits I served coupled with the desire to provide successful career placement for job-seekers brought me closer to my here and now.
